Company history
After managing a large chain drug store for many years Bob Mills RPh arrived in Fairfield in 1977 with a dream to open his own pharmacy where he could focus on patient care and prescription services. He opened the doors in 1000 square foot store in Reigert Square as a Medicine Shoppe. Mills Pharmacy has always been leader in patient care. It was the first to offer in store cholesterol and glucose screenings in the 1980's. In 1997, Bob's daughter, Tina Weisenberger followed in her father's footsteps and graduated from pharmacy school. The pharmacy offerings gradually expanded to include more natural products, and a vaccine clinic. Tina was the first pharmacist in Fairfield to be certified to administer vaccines. In 2003 she became a certified compounding pharmacist. In 2007, the pharmacy moved to its present location. In 2008, Tina and Bob were chosen as Fairfield's Business Persons of the Year by the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce.
